The Danish Finance Society, a non-profit organisation, serves as a professional forum at the highest international level for professionals in the finance and investment industry. Founded in 1974, it aims to maintain and further develop its 1.400 members' professional skills, to create an inspiring professional and social network among its members, promoting contact between its members, listed companies and the international financial environment, as well as working for high ethical standards among its members. The association operates in close and integrated cooperation with The CFA Society Denmark, which is the local Danish society under the globally organised CFA Institute headquartered in the United States. CFA Institute offers the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and designation, a highly recognized "gold standard" for investment professionals.
